Informative, well written and insightful. Another great book in the rough guide series .
Disappointed - if you want recent information on Menorca don’t buy this
I am travelling to Menorca with 6 people in 2 weeks time so was delighted to find a new edition (June 2022) of this guide, as I will need to try and book some restaurants ahead of time because of the size of our party. We are staying close to Alaior, an inland town - but the guide has not a single restaurant or even cafe recommendation for Alaior. Very poor, black mark number 1. I was also hoping to find a review and information about the ‘new’ (actually opened 12 months ago) Hauser & Wirth gallery on an island in the harbour of Mahon. Astonishingly this, which must be a major new tourist attraction for Menorca, is not even mentioned! I gave Rough GuIdes the benefit of the doubt and downloaded the ebook hoping to find it would be more up to date, as easier to edit than a print edition. I was wrong. Still no mention of the gallery. Come on Rough Guides, you can do MUCH better than this. I feel I have wasted my money completely and might as well have stuck with my very old edition of this book from 2010.
