Wish I’d bought the full book not mini guide

I like Rough Guides and the information in them is usually very good. As we are only in Cyprus for a short holiday, and as the mini guide advertises itself as containing post-Coronavirus updates, I bought this book.

I am already missing the detailed information which is likely in the full-fat big version of the book. Having read my little book, I doubt there are many post-Covid updates on which the visitor would depend. At time of writing (July 2022) masks are still required indoors and on the bus. They are not always available and the bus drivers are strict so bring some with you. I don’t think thats in the book. We are also topping up our mini guide with time-consuming general searches on the internet. This kind of extra homework is not needed with the full versions of the books which I have for travel in other countries.

I will keep buying Rough Guides, but in future will not waste money on little versions when the larger versions are a much better investment.
